Big news for the energy sector! ⚡ The U.S. government is reportedly planning to lend $4.2 billion to power producer Vistra to expand its nuclear power output.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright is expected to officially announce the financing, which aims to support efforts to "uprate" (increase output) at least three of Vistra’s four nuclear stations. This major move comes as electricity demand skyrockets, driven by the rapid expansion of artificial-intelligence data centers, cryptocurrency mining, and broader electrification efforts. 🤖📈

Vistra’s current nuclear fleet already boasts over 6.5 gigawatts of capacity across six reactors, supplying electricity to roughly 3.25 million homes. This new initiative will push that output even higher to meet rising grid demands. ☢️🏘️
