🚨 Intuit $INTU Earnings Preview: Can AI Reignite the Growth Story? 🚨

Intuit reports Q4 and full-year FY2026 earnings after the market close today, with investors closely watching whether the company's AI investments can accelerate growth across QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise Suite.

📊 What Wall Street Expects

• Revenue: approximately $4.3B

• EPS: approximately $3.5-$3.6 per share

• Earnings call: 4:30 PM ET after today's release.

🔍 Key Things to Watch

✅ AI Monetization – Investors want proof that Intuit's AI-powered platform is driving higher customer engagement, better retention, and increased spending per customer, particularly within QuickBooks and its enterprise offerings.

✅ QuickBooks Growth – Small business health remains a critical indicator. Strong subscriber growth and higher average revenue per customer could support the bull case that Intuit remains one of the highest-quality software franchises in the market.

✅ Credit Karma Recovery – Credit Karma has been under pressure from a weaker lending environment. Any signs of improving consumer credit activity could provide an incremental growth tailwind.

✅ FY2027 Guidance – The most important number may not be today's results but management's outlook for the next fiscal year. Investors will want confirmation that double-digit revenue growth and earnings expansion remain achievable.

📈 Why the Stock Matters – Despite reporting solid results throughout FY2026, Intuit shares have significantly underperformed their previous highs. The market now needs evidence that AI-driven innovation can translate into sustained revenue acceleration and margin expansion.

🎯 My Take – This earnings report is less about whether Intuit beats estimates and more about whether management can convince investors that its AI platform strategy will drive the next leg of growth. Strong guidance could shift sentiment quickly, while cautious commentary may keep pressure on the stock.

Will Intuit deliver another beat-and-raise quarter, or will guidance become the key battleground?

Stocks are falling more than 10% this morning. It looks like the nice rebound from $260 is over. We'll see what the reaction will be during today's trading, but in my opinion the company will have a pretty hard time.

I am now looking forward to their Investor Day on September 17. They should be able to improve the outlook.
